TORONTO, Dec. 12 /CNW/ – Canada’s preeminent gaming industry association will now stage Canada’s preeminent gaming forum.

William Rutsey, President and CEO of the Canadian Gaming Association (CGA) and Ivan Sack, President of Canadian Gaming News Inc. are pleased to announce that they have agreed in principle for the CGA to acquire the Canadian Gaming Summit and Exhibition, the gaming industry’s annual gathering and showcase. The 10th Annual Summit and Exhibition will be held in Vancouver from April 24 to 26, 2006.

“We applaud and thank Ivan for his vision 10 years ago to create and develop this vital industry forum. The Canadian Gaming Association is looking forward to the continued growth of the event for the benefit of the Canadian gaming industry,” said Mr. Rutsey. “All those who participate in Canada’s gaming industry know Ivan has been a tireless promoter and advocate,” Mr. Rutsey added.

Mr. Sack will continue to publish the Canadian Gaming News, Canada’s leading gaming publication which Mr. Sack founded in May of 1994.

The Canadian Gaming Association, formed in March 2005 and headquartered in Toronto, represents Canada’s leading gaming operators and suppliers. The CGA speaks to issues of national and regional importance as the voice of the industry, with a mandate to foster a balanced understanding of gaming by bringing facts about the industry to the general public, elected officials, other decision makers and the media.
