Casinos in Ontario, New Brunswick and Nova Scotia Begin to Re-Open
The Canadian Gaming Association extends a warm welcome back to operators and employees as more of Canada’s gaming industry re-opens!

Ontario Health and Safety Guidelines
All Ontario operators have developed site-specific health and safety plans that have been reviewed by independent third-party medical experts in infectious disease. In addition, under the province’s Stage 3 guidelines, all casinos and charitable gaming centres will be limited to slot machines only, a maximum of 50 guests at any time, and table games and other non-gaming amenities are temporarily suspended.

Great Canadian Gaming Corporation

Congratulations to Great Canadian Gaming Corporation, which re-opened its 11 properties in Ontario on September 28, as well as Casino New Brunswick. Two additional GCGC properties in Nova Scotia – Casino Nova Scotia Sydney and Casino Nova Scotia Halifax – will follow on October 5.

In Ontario, Great Canadian will be adhering to provincial guidelines, which include indoor gathering limits up to a maximum of 50 guests, and will not include the operation of table games or other amenities.

In New Brunswick, the Company will be reopening its Casino New Brunswick property on September 28, 2020 as part of New Brunswick’s “COVID-19 recovery plan.” The reopening of the property will follow prescriptive operational plans and protocols developed by the Company, including reduced facility guest capacity to approximately 25%, the availability of just over 50% of the property’s slot machines, and the suspension of most amenities.

More information can be found at https://gcgaming.com, including detailed health and safety protocols as well as the online reservation form to book time to play slots (two hours maximum) in Ontario.

Caesars Windsor

Caesars Windsor will re-open its property on October 8.

Due to the restricted capacity, the property will open by invitation to Caesars Rewards members only until restrictions are expanded to include a broader capacity. Invited members will be notified by email and will be required to make a reservation in advance. Caesars Windsor will remain closed to the general public during this initial reopening phase.

Caesars Windsor is following the Municipal, Provincial and Federal public health guidelines and recommendations and has implemented Caesars Entertainment Inc.’s new health and safety protocols, which enhance the Company’s existing plans and practices in these areas. All Caesars properties are focused on the well-being of team members, guests and the community, and continue to work to create an environment with high standards of sanitization and physical distancing practices.
