In Case You Missed It: AGCO Releases Latest Study on Channelization

Ontario is a unique market in that when it launched two years ago, it had to convert existing (and entrenched) grey market operators into licensed operators. The Alcohol and Gaming Commission of Ontario (AGCO) released an important channelization study conducted by IPSOS at the first anniversary, and they have updated data for the second. There are two important takeaways: the channelization rate has slightly increased, and that Ontarians who chose to gamble on an unregulated site risk more than their money, to quote Dr. Karin Schnarr, CEO of the AGCO.

The CGA supports ongoing efforts by the AGCO and iGO to shift players to regulated websites and to enforce Ontario’s standards. Access study.
