CANADIAN GAMING INDUSTRY GATHERS IN NIAGARA FALLS

The 2018 Canadian Gaming Summit wrapped up last Wednesday after a successful return to the Scotiabank Convention Centre in Niagara Falls, Ontario. More than 950 participants spent two days listening to gaming experts cover a wide range of topics on the theme of “Technology Holds the Key”, from sports betting and AML to the newest trends in gaming management systems and compliance and security.

Stowe Shoemaker, Dean of the William F. Harrah College of Hospitality at UNLV, and one of three keynote presentations, spent an hour on marketing to casino and resort customers that got many people thinking, and Paul Lauzon and Paige Schoenfeld from Ipsos presented another keynote and walked us through new data for Gen X, Y and Z, such as mobile pay and virtual currency are growing in popularity among Gen Y and Gen Z and that Gen X will indulge in buying a draw game ticket or an instant scratch ticket.

Thank you to everyone for attending – participants, vendors, suppliers, speakers and all those who helped make the 2018 Summit one of the best yet.

Two of our keynotes had PowerPoints, which you can access here:

CUSTOMER LOYALTY – STOWE SHOEMAKER, PhD, JUNE 20, 2018
IPSOS SUMMIT 2018 RESEARCH: GAMING WITH X, Y, Z

Also, if you are interested in contacting Stowe to obtain any of the articles he mentioned during his talk, you can reach him at [email protected]

Than you again for your support – and see you next year!
